# Installation

> Install dmpHunter on Linux, macOS, or Windows.

Requires Python **3.9+**. Works cross-platform for analysis; Windows is only needed to create the dumps.

## Standard Install

```bash theme={null}
# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/tasox/dmpHunter.git
cd dmpHunter

# Install from repo root (contains pyproject.toml)
pip install -e .
```

## Optional: YARA Support

```bash theme={null}
pip install -e .[yara]
```

## Verify Installation

```bash theme={null}
dmph --help
# or
dmpHunter --help
# or (alias)
mdr --help
```
